Get in the old town called the "Vieux Nice", situated between the sea and down town. Welcome in the heart of Nice to soak the original atmosphere of the flower market in the morning except on monday the flee market on the "cours Saleya".
The Castle hill is covered by a shady park full of Mediterranean essences, with an ornamental waterfall, and offers an exceptional panorama over Nice and its surroundings from Nice to St Tropez.
Visit the different charming district of the town :
Massena square, Garibaldi square, dating from the 18th century, was the first extension of the old town towards the new. The building facades are now ochre-coloured with green shutters. In the centre of the roundabout stand a statute of Giuseppe Garibaldi, born in Nice in 1807.
Cimiez, the aristocratic district with the Regina Palace where the Queen Victoria stayed, Chagall and Matisse museums and the fransciscan monastery.
The Russian district with a fantastic Russian Orthodox Church, the biggest one out of Russia.
